Senior Structural Engineer - Tampa

Position Overview:

In this role, you'll leverage your technical expertise to evaluate and design solutions for a variety of complex building challenges. Your projects will include residential, multi-family, and commercial structures, with a strong focus on damage repair (fire, wind, flood, impacts), adaptive reuse of older buildings, and enhancing facilities for new purposes. There may also be opportunities to work on commercial, retail, industrial, and hospitality projects.

Essential Job Functions:

• Prepare as-built drawings and evaluate existing buildings, including those with damage.
• Develop designs and specifications according to building codes and industry standards.
• Research historical and current building codes, incorporating necessary upgrades.
• Perform field assessments, including work from ladders, lifts, scaffolds, and rooftops.
• Investigate and assess conditions for appropriate repairs to damaged or underperforming structures.
• Design upgrades, maintenance, and restoration for existing buildings.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering (or related field).
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) license required (Structural license is a plus).
• 4+ years of structural design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (BIM experience is a plus).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
