MANAGER’s NOTES:

Strong Linux & embedded C programming skills would be helpful, he already has an embedded Linux Engineer and Kernel Engineer on his staff, thinks Linux Embedded C applications SWE is needed.

PROJECT SCOPE:

• Seeking an experienced Linux -focused Software Engineer to develop custom embedded touch controls for industrial and commercial IoT devices .
• We’re looking for a self-driven engineer passionate about cutting-edge technology, IoT device creation , and a deep understanding of SW/HW systems.
• Ideal candidates will have expertise in device driver development, user space applications, and performance measurement.
• Qt embedded GUI development, and embedded systems is a plus.

REQUIREMENTS:

• MSCS/BSCS or related 4-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics or related
• 3+ years writing software for Linux systems embedded coding using C in an Agile SDLC environment
• Write embedded code in C for HW drivers and other software APIs.
• Knowledge of ARM processors
• Understand program requirements and create elegant, well-documented code based on high-level design specifications.
• Reproduce and isolate bugs and implement fixes.
• Integrate, develop, debug, and measure Linux hardware drivers.
• Design solutions by integrating new or existing software.

HIGHLY PREFERRED:

• Familiar with either Qt or Crank GUI development, Linux Kernel
• Proficient with Linux or IoT device driver development
• IoT industry experience
