Your Role:
The Human Resource Business Partner will support specific functions within a company while working closely with management and employees on the front line providing hands-on and strategic input, insight, and advice on people-related issues: talent management, employee relations, coaching/development, performance management, conflict management including off boarding. The HR Business Partner will play an essential role in establishing and driving HR programs/talent initiatives, drive the performance management tool forward within specific company functions, while always ensuring they align with a company & business objectives.
Essential Functions:
-Perform as an integral component of the management team by developing effective working relationships, influencing, and challenging the management team on their personal styles, and the development and delivery of their talent plans in support of the achievement of the business area aligned to HR strategies.
-Based on the department’s business line, recommend, coordinate, and implement policies and programs that are in alignment with strategic direction.
-Provide project management support and HR expertise to the department on specific initiatives.
-Identifies people issues in partnership with departments to provide advice and expertise to resolve those matters; Help support the delivery of the departments’ Key Performance Indicators.
-Creates and reviews job descriptions, in conjunction with the department head, and evaluates against the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) classifications (Exempt or Non-Exempt) to determine the appropriate classification and job status.
-Investigates employee situations, consult as well as counsel department managers regarding these matters and facilitate appropriate corrective actions up to possible termination.
-Oversee the exit interview process with staff who resign and analyzes data for patterns and or areas that should be addressed by senior management.
-Maintains knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations regarding human resources subject areas and makes recommendations for changes when necessary.
-Functions as an ambassador and liaison
-Contributes to organization success by accepting new assignments, helping team members, learning new skills, and striving to improve team results.
-Performs other related work as required or requested.
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or in a related field is required.
-Master’s degree preferred
-PHR and or SHRM-CP certification is preferred.
-Five to seven years Human Resources Generalist experience is desired; or an equivalent
combination of education, training, and experience.
-Must be proficient with MS Office; preferred experience and expertise in ADP
Workforce Now and EE Navigator.
-Strong teamwork and ability to work in a fast-paced environment is a must.
-Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
-Knowledge of relevant state and federal laws and regulations is essential.
This is a hybrid role with 4 days on site, 1 day remote.
