Certification Details BLS ACLS Job Details Hospital: Mission Location: 509 Biltmore Avenue Unit Name: D3-A Building: A tower, D corridor, 3rd floor Cost Center: 616 Unit Specifics: Number of Beds: 10 ICU/PCU Overflow Patient Ratios: 2:1 ICU, 4-5:1 PCU Unit staffing description: charge nurse out of staffing, no unit secretaries or PCTs Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, 5 Staff RN Night Shift: 1 Charge RN, 5 Staff RN Type of equipment: Lift equipment, Targeted Temperature Management (TTM), ventilators, IV pumps, etc. Documentation system: Cerner Job Requirements Must have Medical ICU experience in large facility Comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management Must be a critical thinker, flexible and works well with others Advanced skills needed: ventilator management, critical care pharmacology (IV sedation, paralytics, vasopressors, etc.), advanced hemodynamic monitoring, central line management Assist providers with any bedside procedures as needed (i.e., chest tube insertion, intubations, etc.) Schedule Information 12 hr shifts Every other weekend requirement Holiday support On Call Requirements: No Floating policy: Yes, travelers will be required to float Bedside shift report is mandatory in all areas of the hospital Relief charge nurse will be expected to perform nurse leader rounding Unit Specific Information Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please attach unit specific policies and guidelines Dress Code: Navy Blue or white scrubs
