Job Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to join our team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately inputting, updating, and maintaining data in our systems. This role requires a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and the ability to manage large volumes of information.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter and update data into company databases and systems with high accuracy.
  • Verify and correct data discrepancies and errors.
  • Perform regular quality checks on data to ensure integrity and completeness.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data security policies.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize data processes.
  • Generate and distribute reports as required.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in data management or related fields are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Data Entry Clerk or similar role.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel) and data entry software.
  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with CRM or ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of data cleaning and validation techniques.
  • Basic analytical skills to identify trends and anomalies in data.


Working Conditions:

  • Office setting with moderate noise levels
  • Temporary Full-time/Part-time position.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.


Additional Information:

This role will provide expert level service to our Public Works team so that we can get up and running on our new technology system. This position is temporary with an expected length of three (3) to four (4) months in length, depending on the implementation process provided to our team. Employment is at-will, and you are expected to adhere to the City Employee Handbook as well as all applicable local, state and federal laws.
