Senior Network Engineer

Our Houston-based company is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to take charge of designing, deploying, configuring, and managing corporate computing services and infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure a predictable, secure, and highly available network that supports our global operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure 24/7 network availability for internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay ahead of network technology trends, making strategic recommendations.
• Implement best practices and tools to secure the network against internal and external threats.
• Provide leadership during major network incidents, ensuring rapid restoration of services and clear communication with stakeholders.
• Configure and support network equipment, including firewalls, wireless solutions, and load balancers.
• Lead the development and maintenance of IP-based phone systems and disaster recovery plans.
• Create and maintain detailed network diagrams and documentation, ensuring accessibility for the IT team.
• Train and mentor team members on network-related topics.
• Participate in on-call rotations and overtime as needed.
• Manage project plans using project management tools, ensuring timely delivery and regular status updates.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience:
• 3–5+ years of Network & Systems Administration in large organizations.
• Hands-on expertise with MPLS, VoIP (Cisco IP phones and Call Manager), Cisco ASA Security Appliances, and Barracuda Web Filters.
• Proficiency in VMware VDI and vSphere environments (preferred).
• Certifications & Education:
• CCNA certification (desired but not mandatory).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (referred).
