Shape the Future of Spaceflight
In this critical role, you will play a central role in my clinet's core technology. You will help scale their efforts within the electric propulsion market, designing, building, and delivering the future of in-space propulsion.
Responsibilities:
- Design, optimize, build, and test critical spacecraft and ground support electronics.
- Expertise required in various electrical engineering disciplines including embedded systems, data handling, sensor interfacing, and power electronics.
- Manage the entire PCB design process, from requirements definition to production release.
- Conduct environmental, EMI/EMC, and spaceflight readiness testing on all components.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams across the industry.
- Develop and manage supplier statements of work.
- Provide technical leadership and conduct system checkouts.
- Experience working in small teams across the entire engineering lifecycle.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in electrical systems development.
- Knowledge of high-speed analog, digital, and mixed-signal design, simulation, and analysis.
- Knowledge of power electronics systems, including DC/DC and DC/AC conversion.
- Familiarity with avionics design, fabrication, testing, and delivery processes.
- Experience with MCUs, digital communication protocols, and their application in space environments.
- Proven ability in PCB design and layout, with a focus on speed, noise mitigation, thermal management, and manufacturability.
- Experience with requirements analysis and flow-down.
- Experience with space systems engineering principles and techniques.
- Experience working in the Space/Aerospace industry
Nice to have requirements:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in working with spacecraft systems.
- Familiarity with programming languages C and Python.
- Experience with radiation testing of electronic prototypes.
- Experience with EMI/EMC testing of aerospace hardware.
- Experience with Altium Designer or similar PCB design software.
- Experience overseeing hardware suppliers.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Experience performing electrical loads analysis.
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
