About the Company - We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Product Line Engineer to join our team, focusing on Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (GSE). This pivotal role involves managing the transition of an established product line to local U.S. assembly, ensuring seamless collaboration with our Global headquarters. With significant growth potential, this position may expand into leading local design efforts in the future.



About the Role - Key Responsibilities


  • Product Lifecycle Management
  • Manage and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, work instructions, technical documentation, and CAD files for the product line.
  • Develop and implement local systems and processes in alignment with global headquarters.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality.
  • Compliance & Standards
  • Ensure products meet local regulatory requirements and homologation standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain compliance with all relevant codes and certifications.
  • Localization Efforts
  • Support the localization of core components to facilitate efficient integration into U.S. assembly operations.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to source locally, enhancing cost efficiency and supply chain resilience.
  • Future Product Leadership
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for the product line in the U.S., fostering collaboration with the Global headquarters.
  • Establish local engineering and design capabilities to enable future product development initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with production, quality, and procurement teams to optimize the assembly process.
  • Maintain open communication with Global headquarters to ensure consistency in product standards and strategic goals.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in product engineering or manufacturing, preferably in the industrial or machinery sector.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and experience with BOM management systems.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and homologation processes.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to technical challenges.
