GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Company is looking to expand its Investments Team with a full-time Investment Analyst position. This position will support a team of portfolio managers responsible for conducting private market investment/manager due diligence, constructing client portfolios, and portfolio monitoring. Additional duties may include public market research, database management, and client communications.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with investment due diligence, including private equity, private credit, private real assets, and public
markets
- Conduct asset class and market research to support investment initiatives
- Independently maintain a broad range of data
- Manage ongoing client communications to showcase market research, thought leadership, and maintain
connectivity with the investment team at Johnson Financial Group
- Build portfolios with an emphasis on identifying and managing overall risk and client outcomes
- Review and analyze research reports from investment managers, data providers, and consultants
- Ensure effective communications with private capital managers
- Gather and analyze research on various managers and investment strategies
- Assist the investment team in development of client investment policies and recommendations
- Prepare various in-depth reports and analyses
- Participate in Investment Committee meetings and prepare presentations on specific investment opportunities
- Communicate with clients regarding investment opportunities, market updates and portfolio performance
- Be a part of a team that emphasizes cooperation, teamwork and effective communication
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
- Basic knowledge of investments, investment structures, asset classes, portfolio construction, financial markets,
macroeconomics, due diligence practices, investment monitoring, valuation techniques and fund legal
documentation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to interact with colleagues, the Investment
Committee, and clients
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work as a “self-starter” with minimal supervision
- Strong quantitative/analytical aptitude
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with risk analytics and evaluation tools
- Commitment to teamwork and culture of excellence
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Series 65 or equivalent preferred
COMPENSATION:
Base Salary Range: $68,000 - $98,000
