Compensation Analyst Contractor

The role is responsible for managing the support and design of compensation structures to attract, retain and motivate employees; to include salary analysis, job evaluations, compensation strategy, policy interpretation/implementation, communications, data management, reporting, program management and continuous improvement.
Role will collaborate with the broader divisional HR team to ensure compliance with BASF policies & processes, ensure fair and consistent pay practices and provide consultation on ad hoc compensation projects and topics. Role will also ensure consistency and alignment with total rewards management.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Relevant certification(s) such as World at Work (CCP, GRP or similar) desirable. Experience
• Minimum 5 -8 yrs of direct Compensation and Total Rewards experience in U.S. and Canada. Global experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with exemption determinations, market analysis and compensation benchmarking.
• Preference for dynamic experience working with Sales Incentive Plans strongly preferred, inclusive of the tools and technology to support.
Knowledge/Skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Sound logic and reasoning skills to identify, develop and evaluate alterative solutions, conclusions or approaches to compensation topics.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel (vlookup, pivot tables, charts) and Power Point. Development of PowerBI dashboards strongly preferred. • Excellent communication and impersonal skills; ability to engage effectively with all levels of organization.
• Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent projects with strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
