We're assisting our client, a prominent printing and manufacturing company specializing in high-security printing solutions, in their search for a Quality Supervisor. The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the quality of products and processes on their designated shift, ensuring that all production meets quality standards and customer specifications. This role involves supervising a team, managing quality checks, facilitating rework processes, and maintaining compliance with company SOPs and regulatory requirements.
Location: Browns Summit, NC (100% onsite role)
Target Salary: $67,000/year
Shift: 1st Shift (7am-3pm)
Responsibilities
Shift Quality Oversight
- Conduct and oversee quality checks in stamp production throughout the production process to ensure all products meet established specifications.
- Supervise rework processes as necessary to maintain product quality standards in stamping processes.
- Complete and approve shift sign-offs, documenting any deviations or quality issues.
Team Leadership and Communication
- Provide daily leadership and direction to Quality Stamp shift team members, fostering a culture of quality and accountability.
- Conduct shift meetings to communicate goals, performance updates, safety reminders, and any quality issues.
- Encourage Quality Stamp team engagement and promote open communication for continuous improvement.
Customer Interaction and Sign-Offs
- Facilitate customer quality sign-off processes during shift operations, ensuring customer specifications are met.
- Communicate customer feedback and quality requirements clearly to the team, ensuring compliance with customer expectations.
Compliance and Documentation
- Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality protocols.
- Document quality checks, shift sign-offs, and any deviations or corrective actions taken during the shift.
- Maintain compliance with record retention policies and regulatory requirements as applicable.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for quality improvement and collaborate with management to implement process changes.
- Participate in quality improvement projects, bringing forward shift-specific insights to enhance overall production quality.
- Monitor and analyze data from quality checks and customer feedback to identify trends and suggest preventive actions.
Special Shift-Specific Responsibilities
- Shift 1 Supervisor: Oversee equipment calibration management, ensure all required calibrations are performed, and maintain SOPs for the department.
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2-4 years in a quality role within a manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of quality assurance principles, production processes, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with quality management systems, data analysis, and documentation practices.
