Description
This role is for Senior Quantitative User Researcher to help inform and influence AIML-powered technology and user experiences. An ideal candidate is experienced in conducting human-centered research and analysis with quantitative methods, is able to work autonomously and collaboratively, and has experience working with cross-functional teams.
In this role you will:
- Work closely with engineers, PMs, designers, and data scientists to align on research goals and develop appropriate study designs
- Investigate user experience and behavior using empirical methods such as surveys, longitudinal and experience-sampling studies, and log analysis; and apply state-of-the-art statistical methods
- Report on your research and make recommendations to stakeholders
- Work autonomously and mentor other researchers to support the goals of the research organization
Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in an applied research setting, or similar.
- Comfortable analyzing quantitative data, including data from longitudinal study designs
- Experience in programming languages used for data processing and computational statistics (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, C++, Java, or Go)
- Experience with survey questionnaire design, sampling approaches and weighting
- Able to produce meaningful visualizations and reports of the data, and effectively present results to different audiences and across multiple media formats
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with minimal direction
- Organized, highly attentive to detail, and manages time well
- Experience working in industry
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in human factors, human-computer interaction, social or behavioral science, data analytics, statistics, or any engineering or computer science field
- Experience with experience sampling/ecological momentary assessment techniques
- Understanding of test development procedures and applied psychometric techniques
- Data science experience, especially with large, distributed data frameworks (e.g., Spark or Hadoop)
- Prior research experience on artificial intelligence or machine learning
- Prior research experience on improving personalized user experiences
