Key Responsibilities:
- Automation System Design & Implementation: Lead the design, installation, and configuration of automated systems to improve efficiency and meet industry standards in food and beverage production.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement automation improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and increase throughput.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Oversee system maintenance and troubleshooting, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous production. Collaborate on preventative maintenance strategies.
- Team Leadership & Training: Lead and develop a team of automation engineers and technicians, providing training on systems, processes, and best practices.
- Project Management: Manage automation projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and vendor coordination, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Data Analytics & Reporting: Monitor system performance through data analysis, track KPIs, and recommend improvements for continuous optimization.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure automation systems comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, including HACCP and food safety requirements.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to align automation solutions with business goals and production needs.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in automation or controls engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role, ideally within the food and beverage or manufacturing industries.
- Strong knowledge of automation systems, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA systems, robotics, and industrial control systems.
- Experience with process optimization and continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
- Familiarity with food and beverage industry regulations and standards (HACCP, FDA, USDA, etc.).
- Proficient in data analysis and the use of software tools for process monitoring and control.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
