Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Site Superintendent to oversee ground-up development projects from inception to completion in Bayonne, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to coordinate all on-site activities and liaise with project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all phases of ground-up construction projects, ensuring adherence to plans, schedules, and specifications.
• Coordinate and manage daily on-site operations, including subcontractors, suppliers, and laborers.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and company standards.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources to achieve project goals efficiently.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and resolve any construction issues promptly.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to address design and construction challenges.
• Maintain detailed documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
• Lead weekly site meetings with stakeholders to review progress and address any concerns.
• Manage procurement and delivery of materials and equipment, minimizing delays and waste.
• Ensure a clean, organized, and safe worksite at all times.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Site Superintendent in ground-up residential or commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Proficient in construction management software and tools.
• Experience with multi-family or single-family residential construction projects.
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in New Jersey.
• OSHA certification or equivalent safety training.
