SUMMARY

Oversees all aspects of the planning, implementation, and completion of projects. Responsible for planning, scheduling, customer relations, material management, quality control, and production levels to achieve the overall customer requirement. Manages field operations in order to achieve a satisfactory, orderly level of production by craftsmen and subcontractors. Enforces all relevant safety and quality control policies and procedures in assigned area. Must interact on a professional level with all customer representatives, contractors, and management assigned to the construction project. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be willing to work long hours, and travel as needed.

May be assigned as Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, and/or Safety Representative on projects.

Projects primarily located in South Louisiana and Mississippi Gulf Coast.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee all phases of a construction project from initial planning to a successful and timely completion
• Works closely with the Project Manager to maintain schedule, meet project deadlines, and stay within budget requirements
• Maintains compliance with all OSHA, customer safety requirements, company policies, and enforces them with the workforce under their responsibility.
• Perform business management duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports, ordering materials and tools, maintaining accurate job cost, and the development and execution of look ahead schedules.
• Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to project specifications and company quality requirements.
• Establishes and adjusts work procedures to meet production requirements. Initiates measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of installation.
• Responsible for scheduling work, maintaining materials, and coordinating with other trades to accomplish goals and objectives.
• Monitor, control and report on performance and progress of projects
• Subcontractor coordination and management
• Maintain As-Built drawings
• Supervises work crews to best utilize manpower and materials.
• Exercises discipline at the work site to prevent absenteeism, unsafe work practices and idleness.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of five years’ experience as Construction Manager or Project Superintendent
• Willing to work at various project locations in Louisiana and Mississippi
• Experience with Federal government projects preferred
• Experience with construction in a hospital environment preferred
• OSHA 30 Certification required
• First Aid and CPR Certification required
• Must be able to read and comprehend customer RFIs and Contracts
• Must have complete understanding of all Blueprints, Specifications, and Submittals
• Must possess strong computer skills including Excel and Word
• Must possess strong verbal communication skills
• Must possess strong professional writing skills
• Must possess Valid Driver’s License
