This position requires strong academic credentials and excellent research, writing and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will have some experience with commercial litigation. The position will involve drafting discovery and motions, taking and defending depositions, arguing motions before federal and state courts, and preparing for and attending bench and jury trials.

Requirements:

• Currently licensed to practice in Vermont
• Experience appearing in court preferred
• Taking and defending depositions preferred
• Strong analytical and writing skills (please provide writing sample)

Responsibilities:

• Draft and prepare discovery and motions
• Take and defend depositions
• Prepare witnesses for testimony
• Argue motions before federal and state courts
• Conduct interviews and gather material
• Prepare for bench and jury trials
• Attend bench and jury trials
• Coordinate, collaborate, and support other attorneys
• Organize filing of litigation documents and processes
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws related to matters
