Responsibilities for Branch Manager

Identify, recruit, and develop direct report managers

Provide technical and business coaching to direct report managers

Work with the President to design department operating plans and execute those plans to meet sales, profitability, and operating goals

Design and implement work quality and customer service standards

Design and implement safety and compliance standards

Own and manage department P&Ls and KPIs

Lead manager meetings to communicate changes, share direction, and results, and identify roadblocks and/or barriers


Responsibilities for Service Manager

  • Integrate sales strategies across other departments to drive profitable results.
  • Show technicians how to establish customer rapport to sell the right products and services.
  • Understand sales criteria and hold your team accountable for exceeding revenue goals.
  • Work alongside customer service and dispatch to ensure the business's overall success.
  • Monitor the performance of field technicians and advise them on how to improve.
  • Manage team schedule to meet ongoing customer demand and seasonal spikes.
  • Make sure incentive programs are equitable and properly documented.
  • Review and approve invoices, timecards, curbside feedback, and options sheets.
  • Serve as a technical backup for field technicians when necessary.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and improve the field of technicians.
  • Bring more energy than you take because you will set the tone daily for the entire department.
  • Inspire technicians to hit their goals.
  • Train, develop, and hold your team accountable to exceptional performance standards.

Qualifications and Required Skills for Service Manager

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds or less to serve customers if required properly
  • Working knowledge of Windows computers, essential programs, and performance metrics applications
  • Demonstrated ability to work solo as well as being a strong leader, overseeing an entire department of at least five employees
  • Set reportable metrics to measure and maintain the performance and health of the company's service department
  • Must be an excellent communicator and speaker both online in written interactions and face-to-face customer service interactions
  • Demonstrated ability and proven track record of effective marketing campaigns and employee management
  • Management and coaching (i.e., hiring, developing, and inspiring others to meet business goals)
  • Operational execution (i.e. using systems, processes, and people to get things done)
  • Customer service
  • Fluency in Nexstar systems and implementation of Nexstar
  • Fluency in financial reporting (i.e., interpret and analyze profit and loss statements)
