About the Role:

A leading financial institution in the Southeast is seeking an experienced Director of Core Systems and Application Support to oversee the operations and strategic management of its core banking system and third-party applications. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring seamless system integration, operational excellence, and alignment with the organization’s goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the daily operations, quality control, and strategic management of the core banking system and third-party applications.
• Manage a team of programmers and application support analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and training.
• Oversee system administration, maintenance, and security in a hosted environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new software, system upgrades, and process improvements.
• Drive innovation by staying current on technological advancements and recommending improvements to systems and workflows.
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and security measures for systems and applications.
• Provide expert-level support for troubleshooting and resolving system issues.

What We’re Looking For:

• 10+ years of IT experience with a strong background in financial systems, team leadership, and project management.
• At least 5 years of experience working with Symitar Core systems and PowerOn programming.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results on time.
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience preferred.
