Job Description: LabVantage Technical Consultant

Location: Remote with occasional on-site in Waltham, MA (as needed)

Duration: Project-based (6–12 months)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled LabVantage Technical Consultant to support the ongoing implementation of LabVantage 8.8 . As a critical member of the team, you will handle backend configurations, integrations, and customizations to ensure the successful delivery of this LIMS solution. This is a hands-on role requiring expertise in LabVantage development, deployment, and technical problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• System Configuration & Customization :
• Configure LabVantage modules, workflows, and functionalities to align with ElevateBio’s lab processes.
• Develop scripts, queries, and configurations for LabVantage (e.g., SQL, Groovy scripting, or JavaScript).
• Integration & Interfaces :
• Set up and manage interfaces between LabVantage and other systems (e.g., MODA, CDS, ERP, calibration, and inventory systems).
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration-related issues effectively.
• Validation & Testing :
• Develop and execute validation scripts, test plans, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) protocols.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with GxP and regulatory requirements.
• Data Management :
• Assist in data migration and ensure accuracy during transitions to LabVantage 8.8.
• Optimize system reporting tools to enhance data accessibility and visualization.
• Support & Training :
• Provide end-user support during system rollouts and go-live.
• Develop technical documentation and job aids for system functionality and troubleshooting.

Required Skills & Experience

• Technical Expertise in LabVantage LIMS :
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with LabVantage implementations.
• Strong understanding of LabVantage architecture, including configurations, system security, and workflows.
• Programming Knowledge :
• Proficiency in SQL, Groovy, JavaScript, or other relevant scripting languages used in LabVantage customization.
• Integration & System Management :
• Proven experience integrating LIMS with other lab systems (e.g., MODA, SAP, CDS, or LES).
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve backend technical issues.
• Validation & Compliance :
• Familiarity with GAMP 5, validation documentation, and testing methodologies in a regulated environment.
• Problem Solving & Execution :
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and deliver efficient solutions.
• Education & Certifications :
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Life Sciences, or a related field preferred.
• LabVantage certification (highly preferred).
