Contract Manager – Cloud Technology

Location: Roseland, NJ (Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days remote)


Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 (Negotiable based on experience)


POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Contract Manager with expertise in cloud technology negotiations. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in managing contracts and vendor relationships within leading technology companies such as AWS, Microsoft, or similar organizations. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively balance business objectives with technology initiatives to drive successful vendor partnerships. Staying current with market trends, particularly in cloud pricing and technology advancements, is essential for success in this role.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and oversee complex contracts and strategic vendor relationships to support company objectives in cloud technology, product/service development, and operational excellence.

• Negotiate, draft, and finalize complex cloud technology contracts with vendors and strategic partners to secure necessary services and solutions for current and future needs.

• Develop and implement innovative contracting solutions to form strategic partnerships and manage third-party technology relationships.

• Provide consultative support to senior and executive management regarding strategic contract negotiations, vendor risk management, and cloud technology adoption to enhance business flexibility and profitability.

• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of vendor contracts, focusing on NOI and P&L impacts to inform budgeting and strategic decisions.

• Monitor market, industry, technology, legal, and business trends to proactively address challenges and capitalize on opportunities.

• Cultivate and manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to support mission-critical cloud technology initiatives and minimize financial impact.

• Lead cross-functional teams in driving contract negotiations and managing vendor engagements to achieve timely and successful project outcomes.

• Recommend and enforce policy changes, streamline contract processes, and ensure compliance with all negotiated agreements.

• Provide strategic insights and solution-oriented advice on significant business, legal, technology, and financial aspects of contracts and vendor relationships.


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• 3 to 5 years of directly related experience in contract management, vendor negotiations, and technology partnerships.

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field (or equivalent education and experience).

• Advanced degree in Economics, Business Administration, Law, or a related field is preferred.

• Proven experience negotiating and managing complex cloud technology contracts.

• Strong understanding of market trends in cloud technology pricing and vendor landscapes.

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and consultative skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple contract projects simultaneously.

• Strong analytical and financial skills with experience assessing the impact of vendor agreements on financial performance.
