Our Client, a Global Investment Bank, is seeking a Sanctions Policy & Governance Specialist in their New York, NY location.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, validate, and communicate sanctions-related group and U.S. policies and desktop procedures.
- Draft and issue Sanctions Notices and Guidance Memos to clarify regulatory developments and sanctions topics.
- Oversee Financial Security governance, including the Sanctions Committee, special projects, and transversal topics.
- Partner with compliance counterparts to address sanctions-related laws, rules, regulations, and group policies.
- Engage regularly with management and department leaders on sanctions regulations and implementation.
- Represent U.S. sanctions regulations within the group to ensure alignment and understanding.
Requirements:
- Exceptional written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of banking products and services.
- Familiarity with project management principles.
- Ability to collaborate within a complex, multinational organization.
- Strong multitasking skills, with the ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in AML, sanctions, risk, or compliance within a financial institution, law firm, regulatory agency, consulting firm, or law enforcement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Access, SharePoint (integrating with databases), PowerPoint, and advanced Excel functionality.
- Ability to work independently while demonstrating the firm’s core values.
