Ignition SCADA Engineer

Location: Houston, hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days remote

Duration: Initial 12-month contract, with high potential for extension

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Ignition SCADA Engineer to contribute to on automation and control projects within the oil and gas industry. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting SCADA systems, focusing on Ignition software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Ignition SCADA standards across projects and the organization.
• Design and configure Ignition SCADA systems , including Vision version 8 and Perspective modules.
• Perform mass modifications and upgrades to existing SCADA systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Ignition with Allen-Bradley PLCs, DeltaV DCS, and other control systems.
• Design and modify HMI screens to enhance usability and functionality.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in SCADA engineering, with a focus on Ignition software.
• Expertise in Ignition SCADA development, including Vision and Perspective.
• Prior experience in the oil and gas industry is highly desirable.
• Strong scripting skills (Python preferred) for SCADA customization and integration.
• Experience in configurations with SCADA, particularly large projects, is a big bonus
