Mechanical Design Engineer (60-85K)

We have an excellent opportunity available for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work for an industry leading manufacturer near the Binghamton, NY area.

Responsibilities :

Design and Innovation:

• Create innovative design layouts and production drawings, ensuring every component fits, functions, and exceeds expectations through testing and analysis.
• Take ownership of detailed designs and specifications, turning complex assemblies and components into practical solutions.
• Develop user-friendly termination guides for high-voltage and high-power contacts, collaborating closely with sister divisions to create seamless cable assemblies.

Customer Collaboration and Communication:

• Partner with design engineers and customers to transform requirements into solutions that make a real impact.
• Dive into customer documentation to ensure it aligns with company standards, and when necessary, design fresh solutions that raise the bar.

Quality Assurance and Problem-Solving:

• Tackle manufacturing and quality challenges head-on, using your engineering expertise to uncover and resolve issues.
• Take pride in preparing, reviewing, and enhancing drawings and processes to deliver top-notch results.

Team Collaboration:

• Work side-by-side with colleagues, suppliers, and partner divisions to bring groundbreaking designs to life.

Education and Experience :

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Preferably 2+ years of work experience, co-ops or internships also considered.
• Proficient with Creo or other 3D modeling software.
