LINK Staffing has partnered with a reputable local company to find a skilled Logistics Manager to join their team. This vital role involves overseeing and optimizing logistics operations, coordinating with 3PL partners, and managing both local and national shipments. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with experience in fleet management, logistics coordination, and customer service, coupled with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Position Details:
Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 annually, with eligibility for performance-based bonuses
Benefits: 401(k) plan, health insurance benefits through a PEO, and two weeks of paid time off (PTO)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with occasional overtime
Key Responsibilities:
- Inbound Logistics Coordination: Manage inbound logistics from IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) clients, ensuring efficient local and national shipment coordination.
- 3PL Management: Oversee third-party logistics partnerships, including scheduling, coordinating white-glove services, and fostering strong vendor relationships.
- Customer Communication: Actively engage with customers via phone and email to schedule collections and address inquiries.
- Collaboration with Sales: Partner with sales representatives to align logistics activities with client requirements.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate logistics records in the company’s software system, ensuring up-to-date scheduling and tracking information.
- Driver Management: Directly oversee local drivers (4 drivers), including route planning, daily schedules, and providing collection details.
- Truck Maintenance: Ensure vehicle maintenance schedules are followed and address any upkeep requirements promptly.
- Staff Development: Assist in hiring and training drivers, fostering a strong team with project managers' support.
- Event Logistics Coordination: Organize logistics for onsite projects and collection events.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas to improve efficiency and propose actionable solutions.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Logistics Expertise: Minimum 3 years of experience in 3PL logistics or transportation coordination.
- Customer Service: 2-4 years of customer service experience, with a strong focus on relationship management.
- Fleet Management: Proven experience (5+ years) managing drivers or fleet operations.
- CRM Proficiency: 3+ years of experience using CRM systems (HubSpot preferred).
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational Abilities: Demonstrated multitasking, prioritization, and attention to detail.
