POSITION SUMMARY

As the Payroll Manager at 10X Health, you will oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees across the organization. You will manage all payroll operations, ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws and tax regulations. Your role will include maintaining payroll systems, preparing reports, resolving discrepancies, and supporting leadership with compensation-related insights. You will also collaborate with other departments to ensure payroll data accuracy, support audits, and drive continuous improvements in payroll processes.


OBJECTIVES

  • Manage payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely submission of employee information, deductions, overtime, bonuses, and payments
  • Maintain payroll systems and ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies
  • Reconcile payroll discrepancies and address any employee inquiries related to compensation and deductions
  • Prepare payroll reports and manage year-end reporting, such as W-2s, 1099s, and other tax-related documents
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure proper recording of payroll transactions and reconciliation of payroll-related accounts
  • Manage payroll audits and resolve any discrepancies found during audits
  • Oversee the administration of payroll-related deductions such as retirement contributions, health benefits, and garnishments
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of payroll software and related systems
  • Stay updated on payroll best practices and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and continuous process improvement
  • Provide leadership with insights on payroll trends and assist in developing compensation strategies
  • Assist in managing payroll transitions during new hires, terminations, and organizational changes


COMPETENCIES

  • Strong competence in payroll management, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee compensation, benefits, and deductions
  • In-depth understanding of payroll systems (UKG strongly preferred)
  • Ability to reconcile payroll discrepancies and maintain meticulous payroll records
  • Knowledge of year-end reporting processes, including preparation of W-2s and 1099s
  • Familiarity with payroll audits and the ability to manage internal and external payroll reviews
  • Strong analytical skills to provide payroll insights to leadership and ensure data accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive payroll information with professionalism
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address payroll-related issues promptly


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years of relevant work experience in payroll management or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or equivalent experience


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
