Job Posting: Senior Payroll Administrator

 

Location:  Beverly Hills, CA

Employment Type:  Full-Time

Position Overview:  The Senior Payroll Administrator will oversee and manage all payroll-related functions to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency. This role requires an experienced professional with in-depth knowledge of payroll processing and a proven track record of managing payroll for a large workforce. Expertise with Paylocity HCM, or a similar outsourced payroll software, is essential. The Senior Payroll Administrator will report directly to the EVP of Human Resources and will have daily interactions with other human resources and payroll staff.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage bi-weekly payroll for 2000+ employees across multiple states.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax filings and reporting.
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for  Paylocity HCM , including troubleshooting, report generation, and system optimization.
  • Administer wage garnishments, deductions, and benefit contributions.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure payroll accuracy and timely submissions.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts, perform audits, and address discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update payroll policies and procedures.
  • Assist with year-end processes, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations, ensuring compliance across all jurisdictions.

 

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in payroll administration, preferably in a large, multi-state organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in  Paylocity HCM,  or a similar outsourced payroll software, is required.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations, with an emphasis on California, Texas, Arizona, and Virginia.
  • Experience with payroll tax filings and year-end reporting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
