*Psychiatrist*

The psychiatrist is responsible for providing psychiatric assessment and treatment for patients (defined by licensing and regulatory standards), at clinical sites at which the psychiatrist is assigned. The psychiatrist is expected to function as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team, treating patients with eating disorders and related or comorbid psychiatric conditions. The psychiatrist will serve patients in a gender-inclusive environment of all ages and across multiple levels of care. Further, the psychiatrist shall serve as a resource to the medical and behavioral treatment teams around best-practice psychiatric care.

*Compensation:*

Psychiatrist: $232,870.00 - $372,570.00 annually (based on 1.0 FTE)

*Schedule:*
* Full Time 0.8 FTE (32hrs per week), working 4 days per week Monday - Friday.
* Position is an onsite role based out of Seattle.
* Exact shift schedule and days will be set in collaboration with Regional Medical Director, Site Director, and based on site needs.

*How Psychiatrist's Empower Recovery:*
* Provide direct psychiatric services through the comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients, including appropriate exam, work-up and the prescription of medications and other interventions as indicated.
* Evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychiatric complications of eating disorders, as well as intercurrent conditions, for patients at the different levels of care offered at the facility. Frequency of visits should be dictated by clinical need, and facilitate appropriate psychiatric care for the clinical severity and in accordance with direction from site/regional psychiatry leadership
* Develop the psychiatric treatment plans of all assigned patients and update with each visit
* Provide regular supervision to ancillary psychiatric providers
* Liaise by telephone with each patient’s ambulatory provider, at a minimum, at admission, discharge and as needed during treatment in the context of significant concerns.
* Liaise with families of patients as indicated
* Evaluate by telephone or in person (and ensure the evaluation by ancillary providers) all inpatient and residential patients on caseload within two weeks of discharge, to assess stability for next level of care, and to complete follow-up recommendations and a comprehensive discharge summary
* Work with the Utilization Review team to provide psychiatric information to support the facilitation of peer-to-peer insurance reviews, determination of appropriate levels of care, arbitration of clinical appeals, etc.
* Participate in staff conferences and education, and serve on clinical committees as assigned
* Participate in program development with site/regional psychiatric leadership as interested and assigned
* Maintain license and uphold all board certification requirements
* Perform all assigned supervision requirements as needed if on-site collaborating physician
* Complete all documentation in a timely manner
* Participate in call schedule
* Perform other duties as assigned or identified

*Qualifications:*
* Licensed as an MD or DO
* BC/BE in Psychiatry
* Possession of a current medical license in the state where the physician will practice
* Current unrestricted DEA license
* Completion of an accredited residency program in Psychiatry

* Inpatient/Residential Holiday Policy
* Non-Exempt (Hourly) Staff: Will recognize the holiday on the actual holiday.
* If the employee works on the actual holiday: Employee will receive regular pay for hours worked and submit HOL in UKG for hours scheduled.
* If the employee does not work the actual holiday:
* But is usually scheduled: Employee would submit HOL in UKG for normally scheduled hours.
* And is not usually scheduled either:
* Submit HOL in UKG for normally scheduled hours.
* OR choose another day to take off within the same month the holiday occurred and submit Holiday in UKG.
* Exempt (Salaried) Staff: Will recognize the holiday on the company observed holiday.
* If the employee works on the observed holiday: Employee must choose another day to take off within the same month the holiday occurred and submit Holiday in UKG.
* If the employee does not work on the observed holiday:
* But is usually scheduled: Employee will enter Holiday in UKG for normally scheduled hours.
* And is not usually scheduled: Choose another day to take off within the same month the holiday occurred and submit Holiday in UKG.
