What You’ll Do
As a Clinician with HELP ROADS., you’ll be a critical member of a comprehensive, non-residential individual and family safety program providing a variety of services designed to assist in empowering survivors of domestic violence, other crime victims, and their families. You’ll report to the program’s Executive Director with a goal of helping families achieve safety and long-term stability and addressing the effects of abuse, neglect, and trauma.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing empowerment counseling services for families – including advocacy, crisis intervention, and groups.
• Completing clinical assessments and treatment plans.
• Developing effective relationships with families.
• Facilitating appropriate clinical, therapeutic services as well as psycho-educational individual and group sessions, including parenting skills support groups.
• Advocating for and assisting families and individuals in the negotiation of services through social service agencies.
You’re a great fit for this role if you have:
• Master's degree in social work or related field preferred with Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience (at least one year) providing counseling and supportive services to domestic violence survivors and their families.
• Experience facilitating support groups and workshops.
• Knowledge in the modalities of strength-based empowerment.
It would be helpful (but not required) if you have:
• Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish), as many of our clients are native Spanish speakers.
