*HCA Solutions* is seeking a qualified *Physician's Assistant/Nurse Practitioner *to work at the Federal Detention Center, a Commonwealth facility, in Philadelphia, PA.

This position offers 2 weeks PTO, 8 days sick and 11 paid holidays. We also provide short-term and long-term disability coverage at no cost to our employees.
This is a full-time, W2 position, offering long-term placement.
*Description*
Schedule is five (5) days per week, normally consisting of a total of forty (40), one-hour (1) sessions per day, Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays), normally between the hours of 7:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., with a 30 minute unpaid lunch period.
*Provide Physician Assistant services which includes, but is not limited to:*
* Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services for the inmate
* Take medical histories, examine patients, and order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays
* Make a diagnosis, provide treatment plans and prescribe medications
* Clinically manage injuries by suturing, splinting, and immobilizing
* Attend to medical emergencies
* Record progress notes, recommend clinically necessary outside consultation, instruct and counsel, and order or carry out therapy
* Emergency consultation to be performed by the contractor in instances where deemed necessary. Perform minor surgery utilizing local anesthesia during consultation visits
* Work collaboratively with the staff physician(s) and consulting physician(s) in planning, instituting, evaluating and revising program plans
* Assists in determining conditions, resources and policies essential to delivery of the health care services
* Discriminates between normal and abnormal findings to recognize early stages of serious physical, emotional, or mental problems
* Manages the daily operation of the clinic and conducts daily sick call; which may include securing health histories from the patient, recording findings and providing clinical evaluations
* Administers and documents medications accurately according to policy/procedure and physician orders. Administers immunizations and tuberculin skin testing as ordered.
* Provides a wide range of emergency services, in the absence of the physician
*Requirements*
* Valid and current registration as a professional Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner
* Minimum of 3 years recent experience in acute care, ambulatory care, Medical/Surgical or psychiatric care facility.
* One year, or more, of experience in a correctional environment is preferred, but not required
* Experience in a correctional health care setting preferred, but not required.
* Must be Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certified, in accordance with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
* ACLS certification, preferred.
* Current Negative TB Test Results
* Proof of any vaccinations, including Hepatitis B and COVID -19
