Job Description
Accounting Manager
The Accounting Manager, under the direction of the CFO and Controller, will primarily focus on multi-entity accounting, including corporations, partnerships, LLCs, and trusts. This individual will assist with several essential functions, including cash management and the execution of various financial and tax reporting processes.

Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly financial statements and generate other reporting deliverables as required
Accumulate financial information for tax estimates and returns for outside service providers
Perform analysis for investments, projects, and budgets, including analytical review of budgets to actuals
Review monthly sales and use tax filings
Assist with mentoring and collaborating with a small accounting staff
Maintain the general ledger and assist with the monthly close process
Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and controls, including proper support and documentation
Assist with all financial operations of the family office, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Track and report on investment performance, including private equity, real estate, and marketable securities
Build strong, long-term relationships with family members by providing exceptional service and maintaining discretion
Actively participate in and provide feedback and recommendations for process and reporting improvements, including systems integration, report building, segregation of duties, and internal controls
Assist with special projects, management presentations, and ad hoc reporting, as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s degree is a plus
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in accounting and tax, with a preference in public accounting, a family office, private wealth/financial services, oil & gas, real estate, or relatable industries
Active CPA license is a plus
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel and PowerPoint
Familiarity with partnership accounting and/or multi-tiered entity structures
Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements
Experience in cash management, treasury, forecasting, and budgeting
Adept at learning and implementing new accounting software and other applications; Sage Intacct is a plus
Ability to coordinate with outside service providers
