Job Description
Are you an experienced athletic trainer seeking a unique opportunity to work closely with professional sports team physicians in the Bay Area? This is a rare opportunity to take your career to the next level by working closely with our physicians to help treat professional athletes and lead a dedicated clinic team. In this role you would become the clinic supervisor for our San Francisco office.

Job Duties Include:

Developing and managing the schedule of all Clinic staff, including managing days off schedules
Overseeing the performance and workload of clinic staff
Communicating disciplinary problems to the manager
Treating in clinic as advised by physicians and supporting clinic staff as needed
Scheduling patients, maintaining inventory, processing orders, explaining insurance benefits, and calling patients to follow up
Fitting patients with braces, boots, other DME as ordered and directed by physician
Assessing patients general condition and collecting a focused patient history when working as a Physician Extender
Collaborating with physicians to develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs
Providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions to patient
Additional duties as assigned

License/Certification:

Certified Athletic Trainer

Qualifications:

Cooperative work attitude toward co-employees, management, patients, visitors, and physicians
Ability to promote favorable facility image with physicians, patients, hospitals, other physician offices, and public
Ability to make decisions and solve problems
Ability to triage patient care questions related to post-op, post-injury, infection, complications, etc.
Work effectively as team member with physicians and other staff
Appropriately interact with patients, families, and others
Ability to flexibly respond to changing demands

Experience:

3 years of experience as Athletic Trainer or 1 year medical office experience
1 year of Supervsior experience
EMR/EHR experience a plus, NextGen (Preferred)

Pay Range:

$30.00 to $34.00 per Hour, higher compensation may be available for someone with advanced skills and/or experience
