    Job Details
  • Hospital located in Eastern Nebraska is looking for travel RN's in their HVI (Cardio/General ICU/PCU/MedSurg combined Unit) - Generalist ICU and PCU experience accepted.
  • PCU patients and ratio will be expected.
  • This is an ASAP need.
  • 13 weeks, 48 hour contracts.
    Job Requirements
  • 1 year of experience with this patient population
  • Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS
  • Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:4, 1:3 for post surgical patients in the first 24 hours
  • Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes
  • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Amio, nitro, nicardipine, epi, cardizem, and multiple other medications for blood pressure management
    Schedule Information
  • 0630-1900, 1830-0700
  • Manager does schedule, no block or self-scheduling
  • Weekend Requirements: Every other
  • Floating Requirements: Will float to all same level and lower levels of acuity
  • How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: Tailored to needs and experience, 1-2 shifts on unit
    Additional Details
  • ACLS, BLS;Department: CVU
  • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Patients who require intermediate care and downgraded CVICU patients.
  • Unit heavily supports the thoracic program, EP, cath lab, and structural heart.
  • Hospitalist &/or Intensivist in house 24/7? In the ICU 24/7?: Yes hospitalist and intensivist in house with Cardiology on call after hours
  • RT in ICU 24/7?: Yes
  • RT Equipment? Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot?: BiPAP, CPAP, to Nasal Cannula
  • Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: Remote tele techs, tele hardwired and tele box capabilities. RNs must read and interpret.
