An international industrial systems manufacturer in the Plymouth, MI area is seeking a Technical Manager who is responsible for managing the company's product repair center.
Technical Manager Responsibilities Include:
- Manage overall direction, coordination and evaluation of repair center
- Inspect and troubleshoot systems and equipment
- Negotiate with suppliers and clients
- Run tests and interpret results for client recommendations
- Source replacement parts
- Repair faulty equipment
- Provide timeline and cost estimates before starting job
- Manage repair center technicians
- Create reports and preventative maintenance plans
- Create office budget and ensure employees meet deadlines
Technical Manager Requirements:
- Prefer at least an Associate’s degree in technical field
- At least 5 years of related industrial maintenance experience
- Prefer experience with servo motors and/or power or cooling systems
- At least 3 years of managerial or supervisory experience
- Ability to travel up to 30 percent
This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
