Hourly Pay Rate: $48.08 - $52.88 per hour.
Job Description
Our Client is seeking a talented Systems Engineer to join the their Team in a critical role supporting the development of next-generation military vehicle capabilities. This position will focus on requirements analysis, decomposition, allocation, and architecture development using SysML modeling to ensure optimal system performance for the Next Generation Combat Vehicle/Optionally Manned Fighting Vehicle (NGCV/OMFV) program.
This is a temp-to-hire position with an estimated salary range of $100k-$110k annually.
Essential Functions:
- Review customer requirements for compliance and develop system operational and functional concepts.
- Decompose and allocate requirements to subsystems and components, ensuring successful vehicle integration.
- Perform SysML modeling, including behavior, structure, and parametric modeling.
- Coordinate cross-functional reviews with engineering disciplines.
- Develop and maintain product and subsystem-level specifications.
- Support IPTs in creating critical item specifications.
- Adhere to safety and environmental regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
- Required: BSc in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Aerospace)
- Desired: MSc in Engineering (e.g., Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Management)
Experience:
- 3-5 years of systems engineering experience on DoD programs; ground vehicles preferred.
- Experience with requirements development and using SysML for system modeling.
- Familiarity with configuration control, baseline management, and technical solution presentations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong communication skills for written, verbal, and stakeholder interactions.
- High attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Practical, hands-on attitude with a focus on analysis and execution.
- Ability to understand and explain technical systems in depth.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain SECRET US Defense clearance.
- Knowledge of Military Standards and ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288.
- Proficiency with tools such as Magic Draw Cameo and DOORS Next Gen.
