Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Laboratory Technician to join our manufacturing team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the production process by conducting tests, experiments, and analyses to ensure the quality and consistency of materials and products. The ideal candidate will have a strong scientific background and a passion for maintaining high standards in manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and non-routine laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with established specifications and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of test results, equipment calibrations, and other relevant data.
  • Prepare and analyze samples using laboratory instruments and equipment, ensuring all tests are conducted in compliance with safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the production and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot and resolve product quality issues.
  • Assist in the development, validation, and implementation of new testing procedures and protocols.
  • Ensure laboratory equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and in good working condition.
  • Monitor and report on product trends, variances, and anomalies to management.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment, following all applicable health and safety regulations.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts within the laboratory and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Prior laboratory experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting (1-2 years preferred).
  • Strong understanding of laboratory techniques, equipment, and quality control processes.
  • Proficiency in using laboratory instruments, such as spectrometers, pH meters, and chromatography equipment.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and protocols in a laboratory setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting of laboratory equipment or materials (up to 25 lbs).
  • Ability to work with chemicals and reagents while following all safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with quality control or regulatory compliance in a manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) or ISO standards.
