One of our clients in Los Angeles is looking for a Business Intelligence Developer with the following skills and experience:

Position Overview
Seeking a skilled and experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to design and develop advanced BI applications, data models, and analytics solutions. This role will focus on supporting self-service analysis and delivering actionable insights for the Ad Sales and Finance teams within the Media industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Qlik Sense on Qlik Cloud and a proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable BI solutions.

Basic Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in BI development.
• Proven expertise in Qlik Sense on Qlik Cloud , including proficiency in Qlik Set Expressions, Qlik Data Models, and Qlik scripting.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL and working with Snowflake data warehouses.
• Solid understanding of SDLC best practices for BI and analytics development.
• Demonstrated ability to design intuitive dashboards and reports for self-service analytics.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver BI solutions tailored to business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with additional BI tools such as Tableau , MicroStrategy , or Looker .
• Knowledge of Ad Sales and Finance workflows, particularly within the Media industry .
• Experience using Qlik CLI for automation and deployment tasks.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance practices.
• Effective communication skills to present complex insights to diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BI applications using Qlik Sense on Qlik Cloud , adhering to SDLC best practices for analytics and BI development.
• Design and implement user-friendly dashboards and reporting tools to enable self-service analytics.
• Build and optimize Qlik Data Models and scripts, leveraging advanced Qlik Set Expressions for customized insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Data Platforms, and Program Management, to understand business processes and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Utilize SQL and integrate data from Snowflake data warehouses to support robust reporting capabilities.
• Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards in all BI solutions.
• Present insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, using clear communication and visualization techniques.
