About the Role - The applicant must have demonstrated technical accomplishments in development and application of state-of-the-art theory, algorithms, and tools in the field of machine learning techniques. She/he must be able to work with colleagues in identifying, formulating, and solving new research problems to address the grand challenges of the emerging 6G advanced communications era, which is now in definition mode. The successful candidate will conduct fundamental research to create new models for continuous learning and/or explore novel approaches for integrated communication, computing, and sensing in the context of the 6G paradigms.


Qualifications/Required Skills

  • Ph.D. candidate in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Demonstrated accomplishments in wireless communication systems, machine learning and deep learning fundamental research
  • Background and experience with wireless communication systems, advanced mathematical modeling, analysis, and simulation techniques
  • Expertise in distributed machine learning, federated learning and reinforcement learning as applicable to the wireless communication systems domain
  • Quality publications in top tier peer reviewed machine learning conferences or journals are desirable. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
