The IT Specialist provides end-user support and troubleshooting for corporate and home office personnel. This person is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the local area network hardware, as well as Microsoft Software, E-mail, IP Phones, Cell Phones, Server, and firewall administration. This person will work with the IT manager on the implementation of new technologies. They will also play a role in coordinating field installations and upgrade initiatives. This would include assisting the IT Manager in facilitating field activities such as upgrading systems with the latest versions of software, the rollout of new hardware and training.
Essential Functions:
- Able to respond in timely fashion to end-user needs and concerns relating to computer business applications (DMS, Fax, Intranet, etc.) and general systems issues (Microsoft Office, E-mail, printing, etc.).
- The IT analyst will orient technical resources working onsite, providing these vendors with all the information needed to assist in supporting the end-users.
- First line support for all software including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Servers, Exchange Server, and Outlook Mail Client.
- First line support for all hardware including HP's, IBM's, Apple’s Servers, Monitors, Printers, Access Points, Routers and Switches.
- Identifies diagnosis, and resolves technical problems, problem escalation and solution tracking.
- Day to day maintenance of network servers (backups, administration, hardware maintenance)
- Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills as an IT professional to train, instruct and educate groups and individuals in a team environment.
- Works with IT Manager in designing technical systems and architecture.
- Handles multiple project responsibilities simultaneously, to prioritize work and resolve technical emergencies as they may occur.
- Able to perform Virus removal and repair.

Education/Experience
- Minimum bachelor's degree in computer science, technical certifications (A+, Network+), or equivalent industry experience (3+ years)
- Minimum 3+ years technical support/help desk experience
- Minimum 2+ years MS Windows server experience required
- Strong understanding of Networking and IT Architecture
- Web server experience preferred but not required
- API knowledge preferred but not required
- Intermediate programming knowledge (code structure/logic) preferred but not required
