Job Description
***Only qualified Raw Materials Specialist candidates located near the Manhattan, NY area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***
Education & Experience:
- College degree in technical education, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years experience in fabric and color development.
- Excel, Centric, Power point, Adobe.
- Self-motivated , accountable, well communicated
Raw Materials Specialist Responsibilities:
Individual contributor position responsible for the quality of colors and fabrics including garments and components to assure final product quality.
- Assist in the technical development, pre-production and cataloguing of all fabrics and colors through to production.
- Visit company stores on regular basis to monitor the quality and consistency of fabrics and color under store lighting conditions.
- Typically reports to manager of Textile Technology. Typically directs Assistant Textile Technologist.
