Position Summary
The client relationship manager works to enhance the business’s relationship with clients. Additionally, this position is responsible for growing new business channels and sales revenue through relationship building with technical engineers, infrastructure owners, and municipality personnel, prospecting for newly certified applicators also known as SPRAYROQ Certified Partners, and existing client retention, market analysis, and sales forecasting. This position also influences brand awareness in the territory through involvement in local and regional organizations including tradeshows, municipalities, rural water, and trenchless technology groups. In summary, the client relationship manager is the key driver of sales for Sprayroq and must have a strategic, hunter-type sales mentality.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and identify new end-user clients such as engineering firms and municipalities.
- Prospect for new certified applicators/product installers in the territory with annual sales and new account goals.
- Conduct presentations to develop and influence specification inclusion with engineers and municipalities to position SPRAYROQ materials as the basis of design.
- Review specifications regularly with the end-user clients and certified applicators.
- Obtain and maintain product approval listings in respective geographic regions.
- Build relationships with new and existing end-user clients as well as certified applicators.
- Set up and conduct meetings (introductions/presentations/demos) including quarterly review meetings with certified applicators in the given region.
- Research and present business trends to senior-level management to develop new services, products, and distribution channels.
- Know and understand the market and competition and use that knowledge to develop unique selling propositions and differentiators for SPRAYROQ.
- Set and achieve revenue goals and volume objectives for the territory.
- Focus on the best way to make a difference for customers through competitive insights and support of SCP and client sales, marketing, and business development teams.
- Work with certified partners and internal SPRAYROQ support team to provide needed technical, marketing, and demonstration support when required.
- Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM or other sales management system.
- Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree; preferably in Engineering or Chemical Studies
- Minimum 3 years in a project-based selling large territory role preferably in the coatings industry
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated prospecting and closing skills
- Microsoft Office experience
- Highly motivated
- Excellent time management
- Willing to travel up to 30% of the time throughout assigned geography
