A nonprofit in Queens is currently seeking a Bilingual Spanish Administrative Assistant to join their growing team.
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: Ongoing (Contract to Hire)
- Schedule: Monday - Friday
- Hours: 8am - 4pm
Responsibilities:
The Administrative Assistant will:
- Screen incoming telephone calls and direct to appropriate staff; record and transmit messages as needed.
- Announce clients and visitors.
- Schedule and confirm client appointments.
- Interview clients to complete documents, case histories, or forms, such as intake or insurance forms.
- Handle fees, deposits, and reconciliations
- Prepare and maintain client records and correspondence files (i.e., reports, invoices, financial statements, letters, case histories and medical records).
- Perform various administrative functions, such as ordering and maintaining an inventory of supplies.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalency.
- Bilingual: Spanish
- 2 years related experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Superior typing skills (60 -70 wpm).
Desired Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products;
- Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently;
- Ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines and to multi-task;
