Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst with Calypso experience to join our team on a hybrid contract basis in Boston. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of derivatives products and be able to facilitate the analysis, design, and implementation of data mapping and business process models. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including technology teams and business units, to ensure effective data management, validation, and reconciliation within the Calypso platform.
Key Responsibilities :
- Data Mapping & Configuration : Create and validate data mapping specifications, configure Calypso workflows, and develop Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to ensure data accuracy.
- Functional Specifications & Quality Assurance : Write and manage functional specifications, oversee data quality initiatives, perform data cleansing, and ensure validation and reconciliation processes are implemented effectively.
- Business Requirements Gathering : Facilitate business requirements sessions to understand business needs and issues, utilizing deep knowledge of derivatives products and Calypso functionality.
- Data Architecture Analysis : Lead the analysis of data architecture, processes, and rules to identify potential data reconciliation issues, and recommend actionable solutions.
- Testing & Issue Resolution : Write, document, and execute test cases for QA and UAT phases; investigate and remediate any source data and mapping errors identified during testing.
- Collaboration & Communication : Partner with technology teams, business stakeholders, and investment personnel to ensure prompt and effective communication. Maintain a high level of responsiveness and collaboration across departments.
- Business Process Modeling : Create business process models, context diagrams, and use case models to document system requirements and workflows.
Required Skills & Experience :
- Calypso Expertise : A minimum of 3 years of direct experience with Calypso (ideally version 14 and above), including configuration of Static Data Filters, Reports, Workflows, SDIs, scheduled tasks, and integrations with data warehousing and reporting solutions.
- Derivative Products Knowledge : Extensive knowledge of derivative products and the associated technical background in configuring and supporting Calypso solutions.
- Reporting & Configuration : Experience with Calypso reporting tools and scripts to support data architecture and workflows.
- Agile Methodology : Proficiency in agile project management techniques, including Scrum; experience with Jira is required.
- Investment Partnerships : Proven ability to partner with investment personnel to elicit, document, and advance business requirements.
- Self-Management & Prioritization : Strong ability to self-manage, plan, and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
- Effective Communication : Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Technical Proficiency : Proficient in SQL for querying and working with new data schemas, along with standard documentation tools (Visio, Excel, Word).
