Position: Database Administrator (Senior)

Security Clearance : TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph.

Location : Elkridge, MD

Salary Range : $130,000 - $160,000 annually

Looking for:

• Degree or Certifications, and Technical training : In an IT-related field or equivalent certifications (such as CompTIA+ , SE+, Cisco , ITIL , or similar) and 3+ years of technical training experience in database management or related fields.
• DoD Manual 8570.01-M certification : At the Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II role.
• Technical skills : Strong experience with Oracle PL/SQL , SQL , SQL*Plus , SQL Developer , MSSQL , and other database management tools.

Responsibilities include:

• Database Lifecycle Management : Oversee all aspects of database engineering, including design, deployment, data migration, maintenance, backup/recovery, patching, and upgrading.
• Database Security : Conduct security analysis, vulnerability remediation, and ensure the integrity of multiple databases.
• Disaster Recovery & Performance : Manage disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring of data.
• Policy & Procedure Development : Administer, maintain, and develop policies to ensure the security, availability, and integrity of databases.
• Data Architecture & Management : Apply expertise in database architecture, design, and data modeling across different environments such as data warehouses and transaction processing.
• Data Migration : Work with migration strategies to transition databases from older systems to modern platforms.
• Cloud-Based Databases : Familiarity with cloud-based database systems and modern data solutions.
• Collaboration : Work closely with project managers and developers to plan and implement database projects.

Experience & Skills:

• Experience: In total of 5+ years of hands-on experience in database administration, database architecture, management, and performance optimization.
• Expertise: In cloud databases and modern database management practices.
