  • Troubleshooting & Calibration: Use diagnostic tools and test equipment to identify and correct issues with HVAC controls, including sensor calibration and system performance analysis.
  • System Optimization: Conduct system audits to ensure controls are operating efficiently and in accordance with building requirements. Make recommendations for system upgrades or improvements to enhance energy efficiency and performance.
  • System Integration: Work closely with other HVAC technicians, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of control systems with other building systems (e.g., lighting, fire alarm, and security systems).
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports, calibration data, and system configurations. Provide detailed documentation for system changes or upgrades.
  • Customer Support & Training: Provide on-site training for building operators and clients on HVAC control system operation and troubleshooting. Offer technical support as needed to address system issues or concerns.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in HVAC, Controls Systems, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in HVAC controls or building automation systems.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment, including heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
  • Experience with control systems programming (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, or similar protocols) and automation systems (e.g., Tridium, Honeywell, Johnson Controls).
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, voltmeters, and other test equipment.
  • Familiarity with control system software and interfaces.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
