Medical Devices - Electrical Engineer III - $105k - $120k
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to play a vital role in designing, testing, and integrating electronic subsystems for external patient controllers and implantable devices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and verify electrical subsystems, including power distribution, motor/magnetic bearing drives, control units, and communication systems.
- Design and prototype electronic modules, ensuring compliance with safety and EMC standards.
- Analyze and test circuits using theoretical methods, simulations, and in-circuit measurements.
- Define and document hardware/software interfaces for safe and functional subsystem integration.
- Oversee mechanical integration of PCB assemblies, ensuring compliance with insulation and clearance standards.
- Develop and execute test strategies, justifications, and acceptance criteria for components and systems.
- Conduct experiments and validate systems against product specifications.
- Manage third-party testing and ensure certifications for test equipment.
- Provide feedback to support development, manufacturing, and risk analysis.
- Create detailed design documentation (specifications, protocols, and procedures) aligned with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA).
- Collaborate on risk management activities, including FMEAs and hazard analyses.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 3+ years in analog, digital, and power electronics design (medical devices preferred).
- Advanced expertise in analog/digital circuit design, component selection, and root-cause analysis.
- Proficiency with test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes).
- Strong knowledge of electromagnetic physics, EMC testing, and compliance.
- Familiarity with medical device standards: IEC 60601 series, ISO 14708-1/-5, ISO 14971, IEC 62304, ISO 13485.
- Desirable: Experience with PCB fabrication, supplier coordination, and medical device risk-based design.
