As the Senior Technology Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the installation, technical system support, and maintenance of all technology systems to include mapping systems, recording system, its components, networks and servers, workstations and tablets, and database management.

Location: Sarasota, FL area
- Lead the technical support, installation, and ongoing maintenance of systems including circuits, call answering equipment, call transfer equipment, ANI/ALI functionality, Telecommunications systems, visual call information and storage devices, recording equipment, PSAP backup power systems, consoles, connectivity interfaces, network clocks, and more.
- Help to support the maintenance of hardware and software infrastructure and related network connectivity in the EOC.
- Create and support the development of technical and operational procedures and policies; design system performance data collection processes; implement performance measures and benchmarks and conduct quality assurance on all related technology components.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Enterprise Information Technology Applications Manager, department management, or their designee.
- Check with onsite supervisor of the EOC to see if there are any system, hardware, or software issues that need to be addressed
- Check on existing and new tickets to resolve issues in order of urgency
- Provide end-user software and hardware support in-person, on the phone, and through ticketing systems
- Hardware and software updates, upgrades, etc.
Technical Skills
- Troubleshooting servers
- Troubleshooting software and hardware issues
- Troubleshooting network issues including hardware
- Database support – SQL server
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience providing remote and onsite support
On Call Rotation
- This is a 24/7/365 operation and the on-call is two weeks on and two weeks off
- If contacted for on call you will be paid for that time worked, typically will be overtime
- Many calls will be able to be resolved remotely, but in some instances you will need to report onsite
