Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Network Technician to join our team for a 12-month onsite contract in Tucson, AZ. This role involves staging a large number of Cisco Wireless Access Points for a significant project rollout. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with network equipment, troubleshooting, and cabling in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Staging and Deployment : Configure, test, and stage wireless access points for deployment.
• Network Troubleshooting : Address PC connectivity, switch issues, and basic network problems.
• Cabling and Infrastructure : Install and troubleshoot network jacks, perform IDF closet cross-connects, and manage basic cabling tasks.
• Implementation Support : Assist in implementing new or refreshed network infrastructure.
• Smart Hands Support : Provide onsite support to network engineers for troubleshooting and setup.
• Administrative Duties :
• Maintain timesheets, inventory records of equipment, and documentation in the ServiceNow (SNOW) ticketing system.

Qualifications

• Experience :
• 5+ years of IT network experience with a focus on network switching and PC connectivity.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Wireless Access Points.
• Basic knowledge of cabling and network infrastructure.
• Skills :
• Proficiency in basic network troubleshooting for PCs and switches.
• Familiarity with IDF closet cross-connects and network jack troubleshooting.
• Understanding of ticketing systems such as ServiceNow (SNOW).
• Requirements :
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a background check.
