We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Manager to lead the HR function at several Tecan facilities including manufacturing environments. This individual will oversee all aspects of HR operations, including managing a team of HR professionals, driving talent management, employee relations, performance management, and ensuring compliance with EEO, AAP, and other regulatory requirements. The Senior HR Manager will also play a critical role in monthly HR reporting and insurance billing reconciliation, contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and develop a high-performing HR team, ensuring effective performance management and HR service delivery.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and mentorship to HR staff, fostering a collaborative team culture and continuous improvement.
- Delegate HR tasks effectively and monitor team progress to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
Talent Management & Recruitment:
- Collaborate with production managers to determine staffing needs, develop recruitment strategies, and manage the hiring process.
- Implement and oversee employee training programs to enhance job-related skills and career development opportunities.
Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Address employee concerns, resolve conflicts, and ensure positive employee relations.
- Provide advice and guidance to management on employee behavior, conflict resolution, and discipline, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture that values open communication, diversity, and employee well-being.
EEO & Affirmative Action Programs (AAP):
- Ensure compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations and company affirmative action programs (AAP).
- Lead the development and execution of AAP strategies, monitor progress, and report on EEO/AAP metrics.
- Prepare and submit necessary EEO and AAP reports, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Performance Management:
- Oversee the performance management process, ensuring that managers conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and align employee objectives with company goals.
- Assist in addressing performance-related issues and implement corrective action plans when necessary.
- Ensure that the performance appraisal process is fair, consistent, and effective in developing employees.
Compliance & Labor Relations:
- Ensure adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local labor laws, including OSHA, FMLA, and wage and hour laws.
- Lead efforts to maintain safety compliance and oversee workplace health programs to ensure a safe working environment.
- Administer employee benefits and compensation programs, ensuring they are aligned with company policies and market trends.
Monthly HR Reporting & Insurance Billing Reconciliation:
- Prepare and present monthly HR reports, tracking key metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, and employee performance.
- Oversee the insurance billing reconciliation process to ensure accuracy in premiums, claims, and other billing matters.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting departments to ensure the proper allocation of benefits costs and accurate billing reconciliation.
HR Strategy & Continuous Improvement:
- Partner with senior leadership to align HR initiatives with the company’s business goals and objectives.
- Utilize HR metrics to analyze trends and drive decisions that improve employee engagement, retention, and organizational performance.
- Develop and implement HR strategies to enhance operational efficiency and maintain a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or HR certification is preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in HR, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, EEO, AAP, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in performance management, and employee relations in a manufacturing setting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in HR reporting, metrics, and insurance billing reconciliation.
- Proficiency in SAP, SuccessFactors, Microsoft Office Suite, ADP, and benefits administration platforms.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to spend time on the manufacturing floor, with occasional exposure to factory conditions.
- Ability to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods as needed.
