Robert Half’s client is looking for an HR Director due to a retirement. The HR Director will be a key member of the Sr. Leadership team and will provide strategic guidance in regards to HR for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the HR department, collaborating with senior leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
- Design, implement, and evaluate training and employee development programs to enhance skills and performance across the organization.
- Update and maintain the employee handbook, ensuring compliance with current employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with labor laws and regulations to ensure the organization remains compliant with federal, state, and local laws.
- Oversee the employee review process, working with managers to set clear expectations, evaluate performance, and support employee growth and career development.
- Prepare and present HR-related reports, metrics, and updates to the board of directors, offering insights on employee performance, engagement, and development.
- Address and resolve employee relations issues, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee recruitment efforts to attract top talent and ensure strong retention strategies are in place.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- PHR or SPHR certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, preferably within a government agency
- Lead/mentor a team of 2
