Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Communications Specialist to join our dynamic Marketing & Communication team. This role supports the Customer Service Department by leading communication efforts for a transformative project to replace the customer information system and related applications. This initiative also involves fostering a cultural shift towards an employee-first, customer-focused approach.
The successful candidate will develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to engage stakeholders, simplify complex technical concepts, and drive organizational change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Communications: Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related internal and external communications, ensuring consistent messaging.
- Strategy Development: Create and implement a comprehensive communication plan to support both the system replacement project and the cultural transformation.
- Content Creation: Develop engaging materials including newsletters, emails, presentations, videos, FAQs, and intranet content targeting employees and customers.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather information and simplify technical details into digestible content.
- Innovative Solutions: Research industry best practices and propose creative communication strategies to enhance stakeholder engagement.
- Workshops & Training: Organize and participate in initiatives to raise awareness and adoption of the project and its goals.
- Performance Analysis: Measure the effectiveness of communication strategies using feedback, surveys, and analytics, refining approaches as needed.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance to project team members to ensure alignment and a high-performing work environment.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in corporate communications, employee engagement, or related roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale communication initiatives, ideally in the utilities or energy industry.
- Experience working on cross-functional project teams.
